Ways to repay Housing Benefit

How to pay back overpayments

If you’re struggling to pay your Housing Benefit overpayment, we wanted to make you aware of the support available and how the Council can help you if you have been affected.

We will also consider a special payment plan so that the Housing Benefit overpayment due is split over an appropriate period, specific to your individual circumstances.

Given the demands on our contact centre, we would request that all contact is via email to the revenue and benefits overpayments team. We will come back to you promptly.

By card

Use our online form, or call our automated telephone line to make a secure online payment.
