Disabled person's parking places

Making a disabled person parking place official and enforceable

If a DPPP is being used by non-Blue Badge holders, you can apply to have it made enforceable. This requires the Council to install a sign beside it.

Following an investigation, if the Council decide to formalise a bay the statutory process will progress. This includes a consultation period during which residents can raise issues with the proposal. This process can take up to eighteen months to complete, or longer if objections are received.

Misuse of a disabled person parking places

If the disabled person parking places is enforceable and is being use by a non- Blue Badge Holder, you can report this to the Council. Report an incorrectly parked vehicle.
