Book of remembrance
Entries into our book of remembrance are two, five or eight lines long. They are the only form of permanent memorial at Mortonhall.
The books are displayed in our chapel of remembrance, with a view to our garden of remembrance. Miniature books and memorial cards are available.
Baby book of remembrance
For the security of the irreplaceable baby memorial book, we keep the cabinet locked.
As there are memorials for different dates on each page, we don't turn the page daily. During office hours please ask a member of staff to turn the page for you.
To view your baby's memorial on Saturday afternoon or Sunday, please contact us during office hours.
Memorial walkway plaques
We can inscribe plaques with wording and motif of your choice. The plaques have a vase for fresh cut flowers. Plaques are next to our garden of remembrance.
Columbarium
Next to our garden of remembrance, the columbarium contains niches where we can place cremated remains, urns and caskets. An inscribed plate covers the front of the niche.
Niches are leased on a five, 10 or 20 year basis, which you can renew.
